Un mois de retraite pour combiner la pratique de l’apprentissage et de la méditation

During the month of January, many students had the opportunity to acquire or deepen their knowledge of the Dharma, at various centers in Europe.

At Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, this year the Institute’s students began studying the Gyü Lama, Treatise on the Supreme Continuum of the Great Vehicle, composed by Maitreya and Asanga. For three weeks, explanations of this fundamental text of the Kagyu lineage were given by Khenpo Samdrup, abbot of the Dzongsar Shedra in India. The monthlong retreat also included daily revision and meditation sessions.

Furthermore, students had the opportunity to clarify points concerning the study of texts they had previously received and that they will continue to study this year. Acharya Kalsang Puntsok patiently answered questions about Tsema and the Abhidharma Kosha.

To integrate Dharma in the West, the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa and the 14th Shamar Rinpoche indicated several topics and practices to learn and study. Thanks to the guidance of Lama Jigme Rinpoche and lineage teachers from Asia, students can access the fundamental texts of Buddhist philosophy.

This retreat is part of a yearlong learning process of study and reflection, which when combined with meditation and action, becomes the ground for a fertile practice.
