SUMMARY:The Sutra of Aspirations for Excellent Conduct Session 3
DESCRIPTION:Thaye Dorje\, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa explains the importance of the Five Royal Sutras that make up the paths of practice. Among them\, the Sutra of Aspirations for Excellent Conduct\, also known as Samantabadhra’s Wishing Prayer\, represents the path of aspiration. The bodhisattva Samantabhadra’s wishing prayers are a model for all to follow. They are recited regularly by practitioners of all traditions and are a path that\, as Karmapa says\, “is a way of consciously dreaming.” \nAfter having clarified the meaning of the Heart Sutra\, which presents the path of view\, Trinlay Rinpoche will begin the detailed explanation of the second of the Five Royal Sutras. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Trinlay Rinpoche\, born in 1975\, was recognized as a tülku—manifestation of a Buddhist master—by the 16th Karmapa (1923–1981 C.E.). He brings together a Western academic education and in-depth Buddhist training under the guidance of eminent masters like the 14th Shamarpa. His dual culture\, his mastery of three languages (English\, French\, and Tibetan)\, and his ability to communicate the depth of Buddhist thought in an accessible way make him an exceptional teacher. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n•  Translations: This teaching is given in French. SUMMARY:His Eminence the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche: The Torch of Certainty - Third and Fourth Parts
DESCRIPTION:Each of us has obtained a human existence. Its purpose is to enter the doorway of the Dharma\, and for this it is necessary for our minds to turn toward the Dharma. In order for our minds to turn toward the Dharma\, it is necessary to know the qualities of the three jewels and to develop convinced trust in them. This trust will not appear so long as we do not keep death and impermanence in mind. This is why we must begin by familiarizing ourselves with the impermanent nature of all things. The reminder of impermanence is born from understanding that it is difficult to find a human existence endowed with freedoms and wealths. The four common preliminary practices are the roots of practice. \nTranslation of the preface of The Torch of Certainty by His Eminence the First Jamgon Kongtrul.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n From Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 August at Dhagpo Kagyu LingFrom Sunday 24 to Tuesday 26 August at Dhagpo Kundreul Ling \n \n \n \n \n \n During these few days\, His Eminence the Fourth Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche continues to explain the work composed by his predecessor\, Lodrö Thaye\, His Eminence the First Jamgon Kongtrul. \nThe Torch of Certainty is an essential commentary of the Kagyu lineage that presents the foundation practices of mahamudra: the common ones (precious human existence\, impermanence\, actions—causes and effects—and the defective nature of the cycle of existence) and the uncommon ones (refuge and the development of enlightened mind\, the practice of Vajrasattva\, the mandala offering and the guru yoga). These practices enable the mind to turn away from samsara and prepare for the practice of Vajrayana. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n THE 4th JAMGON KONGTRUL RINPOCHE \nEarly Life and RecognitionBirth and LineageThe 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche\, born on December 17\, 1995\, in Nepal\, is the son of the 2nd Beru Khyentse Rinpoche\, a revered master and lineage holder of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Born as foretold\, his arrival was prophesied by the late Chobgye Trichen at the Great Manjushri’s Temple. \nRecognition and Naming CeremonyIn 1996\, the young Jamgon Rinpoche met the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje\, who bestowed upon him the name Karma Mingyur Dragpa Senge Thinle Kunkhyab Pal Sangpo\, confirming his recognition. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The 14th Dalai Lama conducted the hair-cutting ceremony a year later. Under the guidance of Beru Khyentse Rinpoche\, the 14th Dalai Lama reaffirmed Jamgon Kongtrul as the reincarnation in 2000. \nEducationRinpoche’s early education included the Tibetan language and foundational practices of the Karma Kamtsang lineage.During his teenage years\, he studied at the Sakya Institute\, known for its rigorous discipline and comprehensive curriculum.Rinpoche received the three sets of complete vows: self-liberation\, Mahayana and Vajrayana vows.He delved into the study of significant Buddhist philosophies\, achieving notable results in Madhyamika and Bodhicaryavatara.Rinpoche received transmissions and empowerments from eminent lineage masters\, including the Chenrezig initiation from Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje\, Hevajra from His Holiness Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche\, and many other transmissions from different lineages. \nThree-Year Retreat and Current ActivitiesIn the period from 2018 to 2022\, Rinpoche completed a traditional three-year retreat in Pharping. As a lineage holder\, he now divides his time between personal retreat and teaching activities. In 2017\, Rinpoche embarked on his first European tour\, bestowing teachings and empowerments upon thousands of students in various European countries\, such as France\, Germany\, Hungary and Poland. \nEuropean Tour and Global OutreachTogether with his father\, Beru Khyentse Rinpoche\, they lead the KhyenKong (Khyentse-Kongtrul) centers in Singapore\, Budapest (Hungary) and Warsaw (Poland). Rinpoche has also expanded his activities online\, offering more opportunities for students worldwide to attend teachings and receive transmissions from this highly realized master. \nSource of the biography:  https://jamgon-kongtrul.org/PRESENTATION/ \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Information\nThese teachings follow on from the explanations given by Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche at Dhagpo Kundreul Ling and Dhagpo Kagyu Ling\, which began in 2024. \n \n \n \n \n \n Important information\n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche will confer the empowerment of Dorje Sempa according to the tradition of Marpa\, the morning of August 23 at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling and of Gampopa on August 24 at Dhagpo Kundreul Ling. \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n Registrations\n This event is limited to 600 participants. \nIt is indispensable to register ahead in order to reserve your place for the teachings as well as meals if you plan to eat on site. \nRegistrations\, here. \n \n \n \n \n \n Traslation\n This teaching is given in English and translated into French. SUMMARY:Gampopa Sönam Rinchen\, Dhagpo Lhaje\, Monk and Yogi
DESCRIPTION:Gampopa is a central figure in Tibetan Buddhism. He is the father of the Dhagpo Kagyu lineage and the teacher of Düsum Khyenpa\, the first Karmapa. Gampopa is particularly known for his teaching that combines the Kadam and Mahamudra traditions\, giving the lineage its unique character. \nWith his dual background as a practitioner and scholar\, His Eminence Trungram Gyatrül Rinpoche offers an overview of Gampopa and the distinctive nature of his teachings. \nIn this year celebrating fifty years of Dhagpo’s development and the Karmapa’s activity in the West\, Gyatrül Rinpoche\, at the invitation of Lama Jigme Rinpoche\, honors us by sharing the fruit of his knowledge rooted in practice. It is a new opportunity to discover our lineage\, draw inspiration from what has been accomplished\, and pay tribute to the masters who made it possible. \nHis Eminence Trungram Gyatrül Rinpoche will confer the Milarepa empowerment. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n His Eminence Trungram Gyatrül Rinpoche is the fourth Trungram Gyalwa Tulku of the Karma Kagyu lineage. He was recognized by Rangjung Rigpe Dorje\, the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. \nHe began long studies at Rumtek at a young age and received empowerments and teachings from all the traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. His training in meditative practice was guided by the accomplished practitioner Khenchen Trinley Paljor Rinpoche\, with whom he spent nearly his entire life until the latter’s passing. SUMMARY:Detailed Differentiation between the Three Disciplines Part 2
DESCRIPTION:In this work\, Sakya Pandita Künga Gyaltsen (1182–1251)\, one of the founding fathers of the Sakya lineage and an eminent teacher respected by all of the traditions of Tibetan Buddhism presents the three disciplines (dom sum) that support Buddhist practice: the disciplines of individual liberation\, of a bodhisattva\, and of the vajrayana. This text explains the precepts of each as well as the apparent contradictions between their different levels. Knowledge of the diverse disciplines associated with Buddhist practice is a prerequisite for any person who seriously undertakes the Buddhist path.  \nLama Jampa\, with his rich heritage from both the Sakya and Kagyü lineages\, will explain this text and clarify the divergent views concerning certain points. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Lama Jampa Thaye is a scholar and meditation master in the Sakya and Karma Kagyü traditions. A British citizen born in 1952\, he has received teachings and empowerments from a great number of masters\, in particular Karma Thinley Rinpoche\, whose regent he became in 1988. He has taught at Manchester University\, where he received a doctorate for his work on Tibetan religious history. Today\, he teaches at KIBI in Delhi (Karmapa International Buddhist Institute) and around the world. He is the author of numerous works. SUMMARY:Buddhist Treasures of Knowledge
DESCRIPTION:The Stages of Meditation–Session 2\n \n \n \n \n \n On the request of the Tibetan King Mutig Tsenpo\, son of King Trisong Detsen\, the great 8th-century Indian pandita Kamalashila composed The Stages of Meditation (Bhavanakrama). The first of the three parts describes the steps of familiarization with mental calm\, then higher vision\, and lastly the paths and the grounds in detail. All later writings on meditation composed by Tibetan masters are based on this text. Khenpo Chödrak Tenphel Rinpoche will begin to explain this text in detail this year\, allowing each of us to deepen our learning of Buddhist meditation. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Khenpo Chödrak Tenphel Rinpoche. SUMMARY:The Sutra of Aspirations for Excellent Conduct Session 2
SUMMARY:Clarity and Compassion Study and Meditation Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The path offered by the Buddha consists in clarifying our minds so that we can be freer in our choices. Based on examination of our situation\, we become aware of our inner wealth as well as what hinders it. By relying on the explanations we receive\, we cultivate a quality of presence to ourselves and others. Based on a progressive process made up of teachings\, guided meditations\, and opportunities for exchange\, Lama Jigme Rinpoche shows us how we can start with ourselves to cultivate the qualities that enrich our daily lives and support the path to liberation. Over the course of each course\, Rinpoche focuses on a specific theme of Buddhism that leads to daily practice made up of clarity and compassion.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Lama Jigme Rinpoche was born in Eastern Tibet in 1949. He received the entirety of his spiritual education from the 16th Karmapa\, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje\, who he stayed with for numerous years of his training. After fifty years of tireless activity to make the Buddha’s message accessible in Europe\, Rinpoche has acquired a thorough knowledge of Westerners. His example and his accessible teaching inspire all those who meet him around the world. He is the 16th Karmapa’s representative in Europe and the author of numerous works. Some of his teachings are available on Dhagpo Kagyu Ling’s YouTube channel and as booklets.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n\nCourse begins Thursday\, May 29 at 10:30 am.\nThis teaching is given in English and translated into French. If you wish to follow this course in another language (German or Spanish)\, please fill out this form before Thursday\, may 22.\nIn order to allow the greatest number of people possible to attend this teaching\, we are also making it available via streaming on YouTube.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Course Fee: 23€/day\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n During the pandemic that struck the world\, Dhagpo offered certain teachings via streaming in order to make them available to as many people as possible. This diffusion was open access and free of charge. We would like to continue to offer access to certain courses. \nIn general\, when we physically attend this type of teaching\, we participate in the course fees that cover the expenses taken on by the center to make sharing the Dharma possible. However\, it is still possible to support the KDC congregation of Dhagpo by making a (non tax-deductible) donation via PayPal or bank transfer (see the terms below).\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n By bank transfer\n \n \n \n \n \n Bank account details\n Domiciliation : Banque Populaire Aquitaine Centre Atlantique\nCompte : congrégation KDC\nIBAN : FR76 1090 7002 8811 2199 4326 444\nBIC/SWIFT : CCBPFRPPBDX\nImportant : specify « don-soutien-KDC-enseignement-LJR »\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n By check\n \n \n \n \n \n – write a check to:KDC-Enseignements\nImportant : specify « don-soutien-KDC-enseignement-LJR »\n– send to :\nDKL donateurs – 4430 Rte de la Côte de Jor\, 24290 Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Via Paypal\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Enseignements – Teachings – Belehrungen – Enseñanzas \nYoutube Channels :\n\nFrench – English\nAnglais (PM)\nGerman\nSpanish

SUMMARY:Introduction to Bodhisattva Path and View
DESCRIPTION:– Last update 02/01/2025 – \n \n \n \n \n \n This introduction explores the inspiring path of a bodhisattva in Mayahana Buddhism.  \nJe Karma Trinleypa Rinpoche will analyze the various elements that make up the path\, particularly the essential virtues and practices that foster compassion and wisdom. He will also discuss how to simultaneously develop the path and the view that accompanies it\, by considering the relation of cause and effects between the two. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Jé Karma Trinleypa Rinpoche\, fourth of his name\, is the tülku of one of the greatest Tibetan masters of the late 15th and early 16th centuries. Born in Nepal in 1990\, he was recognized by the 14th Shamar Rinpoche at the age of four. He pursued studies in Buddhist philosophy and classical Tibetan language at the very well-reputed Sakya College in Derha Dhun\, India\, where he received his diploma in 2016. He then widened his academic knowledge of philosophy and Tibetology in London and Hamburg. In terms of spiritual education\, he received important empowerments from the greatest masters of the different lineages (His Holiness the 14th Shamarpa Mipham Chökyi Lodrö; His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trinzin; Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche). \nThis educational path has made him an accomplished teacher\, known and respected in all Buddhist lineages for his exceptional scholarship and spiritual insight. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Information\n• Teacher: Jé Karma Trinleypa Rinpoche \n• Translation: This teaching is given in English and translated into French. SUMMARY:The Sutra of Excellent Conduct Aspirations - Session 2
DESCRIPTION:Program updated on 01/03/2025 – The course initially scheduled from May 7 to 11 will take place in the summer. \n \n \n \n \n \n Thaye Dorje\, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa explains the importance of the Five Royal Sutras that make up the paths of practice. Among them\, the Sutra of Aspirations for Excellent Conduct\, also known as Samantabadhra’s Wishing Prayer\, represents the path of aspiration. The bodhisattva Samantabhadra’s wishing prayers are a model for all to follow. They are recited regularly by practitioners of all traditions and are a path that\, as Karmapa says\, “is a way of consciously dreaming.” \nAfter having clarified the meaning of the Heart Sutra\, which presents the path of view\, Trinlay Rinpoche will begin the detailed explanation of the second of the Five Royal Sutras.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Trinlay Rinpoche\, born in 1975\, was recognized as a tülku—manifestation of a Buddhist master—by the 16th Karmapa (1923–1981 C.E.).
