SUMMARY:Clarity and Compassion Study and Meditation Retreat
DESCRIPTION:The path offered by the Buddha consists in clarifying our minds so that we can be freer in our choices. Based on examination of our situation\, we become aware of our inner wealth as well as what hinders it. By relying on the explanations we receive\, we cultivate a quality of presence to ourselves and others. Based on a progressive process made up of teachings\, guided meditations\, and opportunities for exchange\, Lama Jigme Rinpoche shows us how we can start with ourselves to cultivate the qualities that enrich our daily lives and support the path to liberation. Over the course of each course\, Rinpoche focuses on a specific theme of Buddhism that leads to daily practice made up of clarity and compassion.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Lama Jigme Rinpoche was born in Eastern Tibet in 1949. He received the entirety of his spiritual education from the 16th Karmapa\, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje\, who he stayed with for numerous years of his training. After fifty years of tireless activity to make the Buddha’s message accessible in Europe\, Rinpoche has acquired a thorough knowledge of Westerners. His example and his accessible teaching inspire all those who meet him around the world. He is the 16th Karmapa’s representative in Europe and the author of numerous works. Some of his teachings are available on Dhagpo Kagyu Ling’s YouTube channel and as booklets.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n\nCourse begins Thursday\, May 29 at 10:30 am.\nThis teaching is given in English and translated into French. If you wish to follow this course in another language (German or Spanish)\, please fill out this form before Thursday\, may 22.\nIn order to allow the greatest number of people possible to attend this teaching\, we are also making it available via streaming on YouTube.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n Course Fee: 23€/day\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n During the pandemic that struck the world\, Dhagpo offered certain teachings via streaming in order to make them available to as many people as possible. This diffusion was open access and free of charge. We would like to continue to offer access to certain courses. \nIn general\, when we physically attend this type of teaching\, we participate in the course fees that cover the expenses taken on by the center to make sharing the Dharma possible. However\, it is still possible to support the KDC congregation of Dhagpo by making a (non tax-deductible) donation via PayPal or bank transfer (see the terms below).\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n By bank transfer\n \n \n \n \n \n Bank account details\n Domiciliation : Banque Populaire Aquitaine Centre Atlantique\nCompte : congrégation KDC\nIBAN : FR76 1090 7002 8811 2199 4326 444\nBIC/SWIFT : CCBPFRPPBDX\nImportant : specify « don-soutien-KDC-enseignement-LJR »\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n By check\n \n \n \n \n \n – write a check to:KDC-Enseignements\nImportant : specify « don-soutien-KDC-enseignement-LJR »\n– send to :\nDKL donateurs – 4430 Rte de la Côte de Jor\, 24290 Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Via Paypal\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Enseignements – Teachings – Belehrungen – Enseñanzas \nYoutube Channels :\n\nFrench – English\nAnglais (PM)\nGerman\nSpanish

SUMMARY:Introduction to Bodhisattva Path and View
DESCRIPTION:– Last update 02/01/2025 – \n \n \n \n \n \n This introduction explores the inspiring path of a bodhisattva in Mayahana Buddhism.  \nJe Karma Trinleypa Rinpoche will analyze the various elements that make up the path\, particularly the essential virtues and practices that foster compassion and wisdom. He will also discuss how to simultaneously develop the path and the view that accompanies it\, by considering the relation of cause and effects between the two. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Jé Karma Trinleypa Rinpoche\, fourth of his name\, is the tülku of one of the greatest Tibetan masters of the late 15th and early 16th centuries. Born in Nepal in 1990\, he was recognized by the 14th Shamar Rinpoche at the age of four. He pursued studies in Buddhist philosophy and classical Tibetan language at the very well-reputed Sakya College in Derha Dhun\, India\, where he received his diploma in 2016. He then widened his academic knowledge of philosophy and Tibetology in London and Hamburg. In terms of spiritual education\, he received important empowerments from the greatest masters of the different lineages (His Holiness the 14th Shamarpa Mipham Chökyi Lodrö; His Holiness the 42nd Sakya Trinzin; Sherab Gyaltsen Rinpoche). \nThis educational path has made him an accomplished teacher\, known and respected in all Buddhist lineages for his exceptional scholarship and spiritual insight. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Information\n• Teacher: Jé Karma Trinleypa Rinpoche \n• Translation: This teaching is given in English and translated into French. SUMMARY:The Sutra of Excellent Conduct Aspirations - Session 2
DESCRIPTION:Program updated on 01/03/2025 – The course initially scheduled from May 7 to 11 will take place in the summer. \n \n \n \n \n \n Thaye Dorje\, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa explains the importance of the Five Royal Sutras that make up the paths of practice. Among them\, the Sutra of Aspirations for Excellent Conduct\, also known as Samantabadhra’s Wishing Prayer\, represents the path of aspiration. The bodhisattva Samantabhadra’s wishing prayers are a model for all to follow. They are recited regularly by practitioners of all traditions and are a path that\, as Karmapa says\, “is a way of consciously dreaming.” \nAfter having clarified the meaning of the Heart Sutra\, which presents the path of view\, Trinlay Rinpoche will begin the detailed explanation of the second of the Five Royal Sutras.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Trinlay Rinpoche\, born in 1975\, was recognized as a tülku—manifestation of a Buddhist master—by the 16th Karmapa (1923–1981 C.E.). He brings together a Western academic education and in-depth Buddhist training under the guidance of eminent masters like the 14th Shamarpa. His dual culture\, his mastery of three languages (English\, French\, and Tibetan)\, and his ability to communicate the depth of Buddhist thought in an accessible way make him an exceptional teacher. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n•  Translations: This teaching is given in French. SUMMARY:Progressive Curriculum of Study and Meditation Chenrezig Curriculum: Year 7\, Course 3
DESCRIPTION:Jigme Rinpoche guides this study and meditation curriculum laid out by Shamar Rinpoche for the sixth year. This curriculum is for all those who wish to deepen their practice and will allow them to progressively acquire the necessary foundations for training in Chenrezig meditation and\, one day\, actualizing it. \nThe cycle takes place over the course of three intensive annual retreats. It is made up of themes to learn and meditations to apply. Between courses\, participants are asked to train in applying the instructions they have received. The content of each meeting depends on the evolution of the participants’ practice. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Teacher(s)\nLama Jigmé Rinpoché guides the dynamic of each course. Students trained by Khenpo Chödrak Rinpoche offer support concerning the philosophical aspects.\n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n\nThis curriculum is part of the continuity of instructions that have been transmitted over the course of several years. We invite those who wish to discover this process of practice to participate in the Clarity and Compassion retreats\, which are also guided by Lama Jigme Rinpoche.\nTaking refuge is a prerequisite. SUMMARY:50 years - Kangyur Procession to mark the birth of the Dhagpo Kagyu Library
DESCRIPTION:April 2000: A Library is Born \nOn April 30\, from 3:00 p.m.\, to mark this event and for this first time at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling\, all practitioners will be invited to join a Kangyur procession. The Kangyur texts (the Buddha’s words translated into Tibetan) are kept in their traditional format in the Library. The texts will be carried in procession from the Institute\, around the Sukhavati Garden and all the Dhagpo stupas. \nAhead of this\, between April 14 and 18 (from 10 to 10:30 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.)\, practitioners who can read Tibetan are invited to join reading aloud from each of the 103 volumes that constitute the collection\, in the Library’s reading room and in the Tibetan documentary holding room.  \nThis practice\, which is widespread in Asia\, is an expression of respect towards the Buddha’s words contained in these volumes\, and a reminder that it is the reliable source of authentic Dharma\, the supports enabling us to know what to cultivate and what to abandon\, and the means to free ourselves from suffering. It is in fact the very presence of the Buddha. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Information\n \n \n \n \n \n No session fees

Some of his teachings are available on Dhagpo Kagyu Ling’s YouTube channel and as booklets.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n• Course begins Sunday December 29 at 10:30 am.• Translations: This teaching is given in English and translated into French. SUMMARY:Commemoration of Lama Gendun Rinpoche’s Parinirvana
DESCRIPTION:When the 16th Karmapa sent Lama Gendun Rinpoche to France\, he said\, “I know you are a lama who has carried his practice to its conclusion. The time has come for you to accomplish the benefit of others.” And thus for more than twenty years\, this monk and accomplished yogi made the Buddha’s teaching accessible in France and Europe to whoever wished to practice it. The purity of his ethic\, the depth of his meditation\, and the clarity of his discernment made him a source of inspiration for many practitioners\, Buddhist or not\, and continues to today. Lama Gendun Rinpoche left us on October 31\, 1997. \nWe celebrate his parinirvana with a day of Chenrezig mantra accumulation and the offering feast practice of Milarepa. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Information\nSee the day’s practice program in French here.

SUMMARY:The Sutra of Aspirations for Excellent Conduct
DESCRIPTION:Thaye Dorje\, His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa explains the importance of the Five Royal Sutras that make up the paths of practice. Among them\, the Sutra of Aspirations for Excellent Conduct\, also known as Samantabadhra’s Wishing Prayer\, represents the path of aspiration. The bodhisattva Samantabhadra’s wishing prayers are a model for all to follow. They are recited regularly by practitioners of all traditions and are a path that\, as Karmapa says\, “is a way of consciously dreaming.” \nAfter having clarified the meaning of the Heart Sutra\, which presents the path of view\, Trinlay Rinpoche will begin the detailed explanation of the second of the Five Royal Sutras. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Trinlay Rinpoche\, born in 1975\, was recognized as a tülku—manifestation of a Buddhist master—by the 16th Karmapa (1923–1981 C.E.). \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n•  Translations: This teaching is given in English and translated into French. SUMMARY:An Exceptional Visit from His Eminence Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche: The Torch of Certain Meaning
DESCRIPTION:“Each of us has obtained a human existence. Its purpose is to enter the doorway of the Dharma\, and for this it is necessary for our minds to turn toward the Dharma. In order for our minds to turn toward the Dharma\, it is necessary to know the qualities of the three jewels and to develop convinced trust in them. This trust will not appear so long as we do not keep death and impermanence in mind. This is why we must begin by familiarizing ourselves with the impermanent nature of all things. The reminder of impermanence is born from understanding that it is difficult to find a human existence endowed with freedoms and wealths. The four common preliminary practices are the roots of practice.” (Translation of the preface of The Torch of Certain Meaning by Jamgon Kongtrul Lodrö Thaye). Over the course of these four days\, H.E. Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche will introduce us to this work composed by his predecessor. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n THE 4th JAMGON KONGTRUL RINPOCHE \nEarly Life and RecognitionBirth and LineageThe 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche\, born on December 17\, 1995\, in Nepal\, is the son of the 2nd Beru Khyentse Rinpoche\, a revered master and lineage holder of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. DESCRIPTION:Mind Training is a Buddhist method of the great vehicle that allows for change to occur in the mind that is ordinarily attached to its identity and lost in a form of self-complacency. This method allows for revealing the vast compassion and profound wisdom of enlightened mind.\nThe Eight Verses of Mind Training by Geshe Langri Tangpa (1054–1123 CE) is considered the most condensed text on this practice.\nLama Jampa Thaye will base his approach to the subject on this work. If time permits\, he will also present Mind Training in a Single Session by Chim Namka Drak (1210–1285 CE)\, which introduces this specific meditation.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Lama Jampa Thaye is a scholar and meditation master in the Sakya and Karma Kagyü traditions. A British citizen born in 1952\, he has received teachings and empowerments from a great number of masters\, in particular Karma Thinley Rinpoche\, whose regent he became in 1988. He has taught at Manchester University\, where he received a doctorate for his work on Tibetan religious history. Today\, he teaches at KIBI in Delhi (Karmapa International Buddhist Institute) and around the world. He is the author of numerous works. Lama Jampa Thaye is appreciated for his knowledge of traditional texts and his ability to give commentary that is accessible for people in the West.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Important\n• Translations: This teaching is given in English and translated into French. SUMMARY:Detailed Differentiation between the Three Disciplines
DESCRIPTION:In this work\, Sakya Pandita Künga Gyaltsen (1182–1251)\, one of the founding fathers of the Sakya lineage and an eminent teacher respected by all of the traditions of Tibetan Buddhism presents the three disciplines (dom sum) that support Buddhist practice: the disciplines of individual liberation\, of a bodhisattva\, and of the vajrayana. This text explains the precepts of each as well as the apparent contradictions between their different levels. Knowledge of the diverse disciplines associated with Buddhist practice is a prerequisite for any person who seriously undertakes the Buddhist path.\nLama Jampa\, with his rich heritage from both the Sakya and Kagyü lineages\, will explain this text and clarify the divergent views concerning certain points.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Lama Jampa Thaye is a scholar and meditation master in the Sakya and Karma Kagyü traditions. SUMMARY:Homage to the 14th Shamarpa: Honoring the 10 - Year Parinirvana Anniversary of Mipham Chökyi Lodrö\, the 14th Kunzik Shamar Rinpoche
DESCRIPTION:The Shamarpas \nThe Shamarpa incarnations is the second line in the tradition of successive reincarnations that originated with the first Karmapa Düsum Khyenpa in twelfth century Tibet. This was instituted by the 3rd Karmapa Rangjung Dorje who presented his principal disciple Khaydrup Dragpa Senge with a ruby-red crown and conferred upon him the status Shamarpa that literally means ‘Holder of the Red Crown’. \nThat ruby-red crown is a replica of the black crown worn by the Karmapas\, and it symbolizes the inseparability of their spiritual connection as emanations of the same mind-stream as stated by the second Karmapa Karma Pakshi that “Future Karmapas will manifest in two forms”. That statement was later clarified by the fourth Karmapa Rolpe’i Dorje who designated that the Shamarpa reincarnates as a second manifestation of himself. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Click to read more\n In this light\, Tibetan historical records refer to the Karmapa as ‘Karmapa Shanagpa’ which means ‘Karmapa – Holder of the Black Crown’ and the Shamarpa as ‘Karmapa Shamarpa’ which means ‘Karmapa – Holder of the Red Crown’. These designations are found in the historical records authored by several well-known Tibetan Buddhist masters\, masters such as Golo Shonnu Pal (1392-1481)\, Pawo Tsuglag Trengwa (1504-1516)\, the fifth Dalai Lama\, Ngawang Lozang Gyamtso (1617-1682) and the eighth Situpa Chökyi Jungnay (1700-1774). In recent times\, Gyalwa Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje also emphasized the inseparability of the Karmapa Shamarnag legacy publicly on many occasions. \nThe Shamarpas are revered in the annals of Tibetan Buddhism as an emanation of Buddha Amitabha\, and are addressed honorifically as Künzig Shamar Rinpoche. \nIn keeping with this illustrious spiritual legacy and responsibilities\, the 14th Shamarpa\, Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche Mipham Chokyi Lodro(1952-2014) was recognized by the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa\, and thereby enthroned as the principal lineage holder of the Kamtsang Kagyu order. \nHe received from the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa\, who was his root guru as well as his uncle\, the entire cycle of Kagyu teachings\, and remained by his side till the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa passed away in 1981. Thereafter\, the 14th Shamarpa was the main lineage holder entrusted with upholding\, preserving and flourishing the order of Kamtsang Kagyu. In this\, one of his main responsibilities was to fulfill all the projects and aspirations of the late Gyalwa Karmapa\, as well as undertake chief responsibility to recognize and enthrone the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa. Thus\, he recognized the current 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje and also guided and instructed his entire spiritual education that included the most profound and sacred transmissions of the Kagyü tradition. \nIn this way\, in the evolution of the Kamtsang order\, the 14th Shamarpa fulfilled his traditional role in ensuing the continuity of the authentic Kamtsang Kagyu order in a very turbulent era. Despite such upheavals\, he also developed a vast network of boundless activities in the service of preserving authentic Buddha dharma in general\, and the Kamtsang Kagyu order in particular over a period of just about 30 years till his Parinirvana in 2014.\n \n Download the program in PDF\n \n Sign up to follow online\n \n \n \n \n \n \nKunzik Shamar Rinpoche’s teaching videos : English 🇬🇧 –  Translation.
