Come Visit
Dhagpo’s grounds are open to all: visitors, course participants, meditators… At any time, you can come and take a walk and soak up the tranquility of the gardens and temples. You can discover the center, on your own or in a group, following a self-guided tour or with a tour guide, or during the annual open house.
Self-guided Tours
At various locations around the center’s grounds and buildings, a series of information panels present:
- The history of the center from 1975 to today ;
- Our Buddhist monuments: the temple, the various stupas, the prayer flags, the prayer wheels, etc. ;
- The meditative pathway that leads to Sukhavati Garden ;
- The journey of Buddhist texts from Tibet to France.
You can access:
- The temple at any time and attend meditative practices ;
- The Institute outside the teaching sessions and admire the large Buddha statue;
- The Dhagpo Kagyu library and ask the librarians to show you around the library;
- Dzambala bookstore and find incense, prayer flags, statues, and resources for meditation or study.
Tours
Guided tours are available on Sunday afternoons in the summer and by appointment the rest of the year.
During the tour, the guide will present
- The history of the center and its activities
- An introduction to Buddhism
- The symbolism of Buddhist monuments
You will be able to ask questions and talk with the guide throughout the visit.

Open House
Every year, Dhagpo opens its doors to all those who wish to discover the center and its activities. A conference and various discovery workshops are offered to adults and children. During the afternoon, it is possible to meet the volunteers who bring the center to life and to talk with them. Everyone is invited to share a friendly (non-alcoholic) drink together at the end of the day.

The entire center is non-smoking and alcohol-free.
Please take off your shoes before entering places of worship.
