January 9<\/strong>:\u00a0 the 17th Karmapa\u2019s first visit to Europe and to Dhagpo Kagyu Ling.<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

January 17<\/strong>: meeting of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa with Pope Paul VI at the Vatican.<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

This day was commemorated in the Institute by an extensive garsang ritual, with many offerings, carried out by the lay and monastic sangha of Dhagpo Kagyu Ling and Dhagpo Kundreul Ling.<\/p>\n

As this event took place during the annual study retreat, Khenpo Samdrup was also present for the practices. The prayer flags on Karmapa\u2019s land on the C\u00f4te de Jor were changed on this occasion.<\/p>\n

21 January<\/strong>: first visit of the 16th Karmapa to the Dordogne.<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

The day was commemorated by moments of recitation of the 16th Karmapa’s guru yoga and a special lecture by Lama Jigme Rinpoche. Gathered on site were practitioners from the surrounding area and other centers, monastics from Dhagpo Kundreul Ling, and many people online.<\/p>\n

Lama Jigme Rinpoche shared memories of his youth with the 16th Karmapa, from Tibet to Sikkim to Europe, reminding us that knowledge of key moments in our history and awareness of their rarity, is a source of motivation.<\/p>\n

Also, symbolically, the Karmapa\u2019s flag was hoisted on a new mast at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling.<\/p>\n

Cette journ\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 comm\u00e9mor\u00e9e dans l'Institut par l'accomplissement du rituel extensif de Garsang, avec de nombreuses offrandes, accomplies par la sangha la\u00efque et monastique de Dhagpo Kagyu Ling et Dhagpo Kundreul Ling.<\/p>\r\n

Se sont rassembl\u00e9s sur place des pratiquants des environs et d'autres centres, des monastiques de Dhagpo Kundreul Ling, et de nombreuses personnes en ligne.
