As we celebrate<a href=\"https:\/\/dhagpo.org\/en\/buddhism\/50-years-dhagpo\/\"> the fiftieth anniversary of the Karmapa\u2019s activity in France<\/a> this year, the conditions and merit were gathered to receive Gyatrul Rinpoche at Dhagpo and benefit from his presence and teachings.<\/p>\n<p>Before his arrival at Dhagpo, Gyatrul Rinpoche spent<strong> two days at Dhagpo Kundreul Ling<\/strong>, where he participated in the preliminary consecration ceremonies of the stupa currently under construction and shared a Dharma teaching with the community. He travelled to Dhagpo on August 5. Before his official program, he spent time with Jigme Rinpoche and granted his request to meet with study groups engaged in learning specific texts.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, in the afternoon of Friday, August 8,<strong> a meeting was held in Dhagpo\u2019s historic temple.<\/strong> Students were able to ask questions on the aspects of learning, reflection and meditation that constitute the triptych of Buddhist practice as well as about the process of learning Dharma in general, particularly in the western context. Combining a traditional Tibetan education (philosophical studies and meditative practice) and an American university doctorate, Gyatrul Rinpoche generously shared his personal experience with the group, emphasizing the importance of engaging in \u201cactive learning\u201d that allows the meaning to be assimilated. For meaning to be integrated, he also underlined the importance of understanding the purpose of the texts being taught in order not to lose sight of the reason for studying them.<\/p>\n<p>Gyatrul Rinpoche then devoted three days, <strong>from August 9 to 11, to a teaching on Gampopa<\/strong>, one of the main figures of the lineage. Navigating Gampopa\u2019s life story and spiritual path, he shed light on essential and often overlooked points of his teaching. This precise and comprehensive overview revealed the need to know better and more deeply what constitutes the heart of our lineage and our meditative practice. He also offered a thangka of Gampopa crowned by Milarepa to Lama Jigme Rinpoche. The representation was on display in the Institute during the course. In accordance with Lama Jigme Rinpoche\u2019s wish, it will be subsequently installed in the Institute\u2019s study room.<\/p>\n<p>Gyatrul Rinpoche conferred the <strong>empowerment of the practice of Milarepa<\/strong> on August 10 to some 400 people gathered for the occasion. En cette ann\u00e9e de c\u00e9l\u00e9bration des <a href=\"https:\/\/dhagpo.org\/bouddhisme\/50-ans\/\">50 ans de l\u2019activit\u00e9 de Karmapa en France<\/a>, les conditions et le m\u00e9rite \u00e9taient r\u00e9unis pour recevoir Gyatrul Rinpoch\u00e9 \u00e0 Dhagpo et b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de sa pr\u00e9sence et de ses enseignements.<\/p><p>Avant d\u2019arriver \u00e0 Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, Gyatrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a pass\u00e9 <strong>deux jours \u00e0 Dhagpo Kundreul Ling,<\/strong> participant aux c\u00e9r\u00e9monies de cons\u00e9cration pr\u00e9liminaire du stoupa en cours de construction et partageant un enseignement du Dharma avec la communaut\u00e9. Il a rejoint Dhagpo Kagyu Ling le 5 ao\u00fbt dans la journ\u00e9e. Les jours pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant son programme officiel, il a partag\u00e9 du temps avec lama Jigm\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9 et a acc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 sa requ\u00eate de rencontrer les groupes d\u2019\u00e9tude engag\u00e9s dans l\u2019apprentissage de textes sp\u00e9cifiques.<\/p><p>Ainsi, l\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi du vendredi 8 ao\u00fbt, une <strong>rencontre s\u2019est tenue dans le temple historique de Dhagpo<\/strong>. Les \u00e9tudiants ont pu poser des questions sur les aspects de l\u2019apprentissage, de la r\u00e9flexion et de la m\u00e9ditation, qui constituent le triptyque de la pratique bouddhique, ainsi que sur le processus d\u2019apprentissage du Dharma en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, notamment dans le contexte occidental. Combinant une \u00e9ducation traditionnelle tib\u00e9taine (\u00e9tude philosophique et pratique m\u00e9ditative) et un doctorat universitaire am\u00e9ricain, Gyatrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a g\u00e9n\u00e9reusement partag\u00e9 son exp\u00e9rience personnelle avec le groupe, insistant sur l\u2019aspect d\u2019engagement dans un processus \u00ab d\u2019apprentissage actif \u00bb qui permet une assimilation du sens. Pour que le sens soit int\u00e9gr\u00e9, il a aussi soulign\u00e9 l\u2019importance de comprendre le but des textes enseign\u00e9s afin de ne pas perdre la finalit\u00e9 de leur \u00e9tude.<\/p><p>Ensuite, du 9 au 11 ao\u00fbt, Gyatrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a consacr\u00e9 <strong>trois jours \u00e0 un enseignement portant sur Gampopa,<\/strong> l\u2019une des figures principales de la lign\u00e9e. En parcourant l\u2019histoire de la vie et du cheminement de Gampopa, il a mis en lumi\u00e8re les points essentiels, souvent m\u00e9connus, de son enseignement. Ce regard pr\u00e9cis et complet a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 le besoin de conna\u00eetre mieux et plus en profondeur ce qui constitue le c\u0153ur de notre lign\u00e9e et de notre pratique m\u00e9ditative.<\/p><p>Il a d\u2019ailleurs offert \u00e0 lama Jigm\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9 une tanka de Gampopa couronn\u00e9 de Milar\u00e9pa. La repr\u00e9sentation \u00e9tait visible dans l\u2019Institut pendant la dur\u00e9e du stage. Selon le souhait de lama Jigm\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9, elle sera install\u00e9e par la suite dans l\u2019Atelier de l\u2019Institut.<\/p><p>Le 10 ao\u00fbt, Gyatrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a transmis \u00e0 quelque 400 personnes pr\u00e9sentes <strong>l\u2019initiation \u00e0 la pratique de Milar\u00e9pa<\/strong>.
