{"id":330886,"date":"2025-10-12T14:11:27","date_gmt":"2025-10-12T12:11:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhagpo.org\/?p=330886"},"modified":"2025-10-12T14:14:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-12T12:14:16","slug":"nendo-rinpoche-dhagpo-kagyu-ling-how-connect-buddha-amitabha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhagpo.org\/en\/nendo-rinpoche-dhagpo-kagyu-ling-how-connect-buddha-amitabha\/","title":{"rendered":"Nendo Rinpoche at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling: how to connect with Buddha Amitabha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;||10px|||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.21.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>On<strong> October 4 and 5, 2025<\/strong>, we had the joy to welcome Nendo Rinpoche, who returned to Dhagpo Kagyu Ling to pursue the teaching on Buddha Amitabha begun the previous year and to confer its empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>Referring<a href=\"https:\/\/dhagpo.org\/en\/buddhism\/50-years-dhagpo\/\"> to the fifty years of Dhagpo<\/a>, Nendo Rinpoche rejoiced in the extremely favourable conditions that have been established to enable access to the Dharma, emphasizing that this is something rare and a fortune we should cherish. <strong>Nendo Rinpoche is the holder of the Nendo Kagy\u00fc lineage<\/strong>, and as such, of the transmissions known as \u201cDharmas of the Sky\u201d, to which the Amitabha practice belongs. He recalled the legacy of the 16th Karmapa Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, from whom he received teachings and transmissions until the age of eighteen, and paid tribute to the immense activity of K\u00fcnzig Shamar Rinpoche and Jigme Rinpoche. It was they, together with the 17th Karmapa today, who requested him to transmit the Amitabha practice and its empowerment as widely as possible in the West.<\/p>\n<p>Nendo Rinpoche had at heart to be as concise, practical and direct as possible in his teaching so that <strong>everyone could understand its profound meaning and connect with it.<\/strong> As everything that appears comes from mind, the starting point is to turn one\u2019s mind inward, rather than letting it be caught by appearances, and thus cultivate the seeds of wisdom that are within us \u2013 our Buddha nature. As such, generating bodhicitta, the enlightened mind, is the prerequisite to every practice: wishing that all beings without exception may know happiness and the causes of happiness, and that all beings may be separated from suffering and the causes of suffering. On numerous occasions, Nendo Rinpoche highlighted the need to have a vast, open and supple mind, one of loving kindness. He explained the meaning of visualizations, in particular the importance of familiarizing oneself with the enlightened presence of Buddha Amitabha and the bodhisattvas Chenrezig and Vajrapani, and to train oneself to remain with this presence. This is how to start reducing self-clinging and to receive the qualities and blessings of Buddha Amitabha.<\/p>\n<p>On the afternoon of <strong>October 5<\/strong>, Rinpoche transmitted the <strong>empowerment of Amitabha<\/strong>, which along with the ritual reading and explanations, are the three essential aspects for bringing any practice to life. He vividly encouraged practitioners to make wishes and to connect themselves as often as possible with the Buddha of Infinite Light and the Pure Land of Dewachen. Thanks to this familiarization, at the time of dying, we will be able to connect with it in a natural way and be reborn in Dewachen. Il a soulign\u00e9 la raret\u00e9 de cette opportunit\u00e9, nous invitant \u00e0 profond\u00e9ment appr\u00e9cier cette immense richesse.<\/p><p>Nendo Rinpoch\u00e9 est le <strong>d\u00e9tenteur de la lign\u00e9e Nendo Kagy\u00fc<\/strong>. \u00c0 ce titre, il d\u00e9tient les transmissions dites des \u201cDharmas du ciel\u201d, dont la pratique d\u2019Amitabha fait partie. Il a rappel\u00e9 l\u2019h\u00e9ritage du XVI\u1d49 Karmapa Rangjung Rikp\u00e9 Dorj\u00e9, aupr\u00e8s duquel il a re\u00e7u des enseignements et des transmissions jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 18 ans. Il a \u00e9galement rendu hommage \u00e0 l\u2019immense activit\u00e9 de K\u00fcnzik Shamarpa et de Jigm\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9. Ce sont eux, et maintenant le XVII\u1d49 Karmapa, qui lui ont fait la requ\u00eate de transmettre en Occident la pratique d\u2019Amitabha et son initiation, de la fa\u00e7on la plus extensive possible.<\/p><p>Dans son enseignement, Nendo Rinpoch\u00e9 a souhait\u00e9 \u00eatre le plus concis, pratique et direct que possible afin de <strong>permettre \u00e0 chacun d\u2019en comprendre le sens profond et de s\u2019y relier<\/strong>. Comme tout ce qui appara\u00eet vient de l\u2019esprit, le point de d\u00e9part est d\u2019orienter l\u2019esprit vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur plut\u00f4t que de le laisser en proie aux apparences, et de cultiver ainsi les graines de sagesse qui sont en nous \u2013 notre nature de Bouddha. Il a \u00e9galement rappel\u00e9 l\u2019importance de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer l\u2019esprit d\u2019\u00e9veil \u2013 la bodhichitta, pr\u00e9alable \u00e0 toute pratique : souhaiter que tous les \u00eatres sans exception puissent conna\u00eetre le bonheur et les causes du bonheur et que tous les \u00eatres puissent \u00eatre s\u00e9par\u00e9s de la souffrance et des causes de la souffrance. \u00c0 de nombreuses reprises, Nendo Rinpoch\u00e9 a soulign\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019avoir un <strong>esprit vaste, ouvert, souple et bienveillant<\/strong>. Il a expliqu\u00e9 le sens des visualisations, notamment l\u2019importance de se familiariser avec la pr\u00e9sence \u00e9veill\u00e9e du Bouddha Amitabha et des bodhisattvas Chenrezik et Vajrapani, et de s\u2019entra\u00eener \u00e0 demeurer avec celle-ci. C\u2019est ainsi que nous pourrons commencer \u00e0 r\u00e9duire la saisie du soi et recevoir les qualit\u00e9s et les b\u00e9n\u00e9dictions du Bouddha Amitabha.<\/p><p><strong>L\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi du 5 octobre,<\/strong> Rinpoch\u00e9 a transmis <strong>l\u2019initiation d\u2019Amitabha<\/strong>, qui est l\u2019un des trois aspects essentiels pour rendre vivante toute pratique, les deux autres \u00e9tant la lecture rituelle et les explications. Il a vivement encourag\u00e9 les pratiquants \u00e0 faire des souhaits et \u00e0 se relier le plus souvent possible au Bouddha Lumi\u00e8re Infinie et \u00e0 la terre pure de Dewachen. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 cette familiarisation, nous pourrons nous y connecter de fa\u00e7on naturelle au moment de mourir, et rena\u00eetre en Dewachen.
