Guided by Mich\u00e8le and Christian Ribert, martial arts teachers and managers of the <a href=\"https:\/\/centre-calam.com\/\">Calam Center<\/a>, and Sylvain Cl\u00e9net, a student and facilitator of meditation and Buddhist philosophy at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, the <strong>course focused on activities designed to build confidence, create, relax, interact and reconnect with nature.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_gallery gallery_ids=&#8221;331914,331922,331910,331926&#8243; show_title_and_caption=&#8221;off&#8221; show_pagination=&#8221;off&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][\/et_pb_gallery][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Intro&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After breakfast, a<strong> typical day<\/strong> began at 9 a.m. in the forest with an <strong>introduction to forestry<\/strong> to discover different tree species and how to clear up a wooded area. This was followed by <strong>physical activities<\/strong>\u2014an introduction to Asian martial arts for self-defense\u2014with the aim to confront fear, develop self-confidence and a sense of effort. In the afternoon, in addition to a second martial arts session, the teenagers took part in an art workshop to experiment with the different stages of <strong>creating graffiti.<\/strong> Employing Chinese calligraphy and street art techniques, they created ephemeral works of art in the heart of nature on sheets of cellophane stretched between two trees. Twice a day, before meals, they <strong>meditated for half an hour<\/strong> with very simple instructions on how to relax, cultivate attention and awareness, get to know themselves better and learn how to tame their emotions. Every evening, youth and facilitators gathered for a sharing circle followed by activities\u2014board games, reading, and chatting\u2014with a curfew at 11 p.m.!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lama Jigme Rinpoche was keen to offer a new format for these teen retreats, <a href=\"https:\/\/dhagpo.org\/en\/1992-learning-live-freely-first-teen-course\/\">which he himself had led for the first time in 1992<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. It was therefore under his direction that this retreat was set up, enabling young people to acquire tools for better social skills, working and living together, while creating a link with Dhagpo Kagyu Ling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enjoy this photo retrospective of the course, an initiative that we hope to repeat in 2026. It also taught me how to take breaks and breathe during difficult times. A big thank you to the counselors. I was very touched by the way they took care of us and taught us. Thank you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>A:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The course provided me with a real escape during this difficult start to the school year. It also allowed me to see how harmful screens can be in our relationships with others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>J:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This workshop helped me realize that I really didn&#8217;t need my phone to live, and it created bonds with people I would certainly have barely spoken to in another context. It also taught me to slow down and take my time, to appreciate doing nothing for a few minutes. I managed to master new martial arts techniques. Guid\u00e9 par Mich\u00e8le et Christian Ribert, tous deux dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s d\u2019art martiaux et responsables du Centre Calam (lien), et Sylvain Cl\u00e9net, \u00e9tudiant et intervenant en m\u00e9ditation et philosophie bouddhique \u00e0 Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, le stage s\u2019articulait autour d\u2019activit\u00e9s pour d\u00e9velopper la confiance, cr\u00e9er, se d\u00e9tendre et se reconnecter aux autres et \u00e0 la nature.<\/p><p>Ainsi, apr\u00e8s le petit d\u00e9jeuner, une journ\u00e9e type d\u00e9marrait \u00e0 neuf heures du matin en for\u00eat, avec notamment une initiation \u00e0 la sylviculture pour d\u00e9couvrir les diff\u00e9rentes esp\u00e8ces d\u2019arbres et le nettoyage d\u2019un bois. Puis des activit\u00e9s pour le corps \u2013 initiation aux arts martiaux asiatique de d\u00e9fense \u2013 \u00e9taient pratiqu\u00e9es dans le but de faire face \u00e0 la peur, d\u00e9velopper la confiance en soi et le go\u00fbt de l\u2019effort. L\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi, outre un deuxi\u00e8me atelier d\u2019arts martiaux, les adolescents se sont lanc\u00e9s dans un atelier artistique, pour exp\u00e9rimenter les diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tapes de cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un graffiti. Avec des techniques de calligraphie chinoise et de street art, les jeunes ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des cr\u00e9ations \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res en pleine nature sur des supports de film de cellophane tendu entre deux arbres. Deux fois par jour, avant les repas, une demi-heure de m\u00e9ditation \u00e9tait propos\u00e9e avec des instructions tr\u00e8s simples pour cultiver la d\u00e9tente, l\u2019attention et la lucidit\u00e9, mieux se conna\u00eetre et apprendre \u00e0 apprivoiser ses \u00e9motions. Chaque soir, les jeunes et les intervenants se r\u00e9unissaient pour un cercle de partage et des animations \u2013 jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9, lecture et \u00e9changes \u2013\u00a0 avec couvre-feu \u00e0 23 heures\u00a0!<\/p><p>Lama Jigm\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9 avait \u00e0 c\u0153ur de proposer une nouvelle formule pour ces stages adolescents, qu\u2019il avait <a href=\"https:\/\/dhagpo.org\/1992-apprendre-vivre-libre-premier-stage-adolescents\/\">lui-m\u00eame guid\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1992.<\/a> C\u2019est donc sous sa direction que ce stage s\u2019est mis en place, permettant \u00e0 des jeunes d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir des outils pour un meilleur savoir-\u00eatre, faire et vivre ensemble, tout en cr\u00e9ant un lien avec Dhagpo Kagyu Ling.<\/p><p>Profitez de ce retour en images sur le stage, initiative que nous esp\u00e9rons renouveler en 2026.
