Dear Dharma friends,<\/p>\n

It is with deep sadness that we received the news of Lama Ole\u2019s passing today.<\/p>\n

Lama Jigme Rinpoche, together with the Dhagpo community, would like to extend their sincere condolences to all of you.<\/p>\n

Lama Ole was, and will continue to be, an inspiration to all of us Dharma practitioners in many ways: an example of unshakeable confidence in the qualities of the mind; an example of deep trust and devotion to his teachers; an example of boundless compassion and fearless dedication in sharing the Buddhadharma with all who longed for it; and an example of genuine care for his students.<\/p>\n

Lama Ole came to Dhagpo Kagyu Ling from its very beginning 50 years ago. He first met Lama Jigme Rinpoche at Rumtek Monastery, the seat in exile of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, in 1970. Neither Lama Ole nor Lama Jigme Rinpoche could have imagined then that their meeting would grow into a lifelong friendship that would affect the lives of thousands across the world, working together to make the Buddha Dharma accessible to all who aspired to it.<\/p>\n

Today, we have indeed lost one of the last direct witnesses to the wisdom and compassion of the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa. Yet the warmth, courage, and joy that Lama Ole brought to so many people will remain with us and continue to guide our steps on the path. May we honor his memory by carrying forward the compassion and dedication he shared so generously with all of us.As wished by Lama Jigme Rinpoche, the Dhagpo community will hold Amitabha practices during seven weeks in his honor and memory.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est avec une profonde tristesse que nous avons appris le d\u00e9c\u00e8s de lama Ole aujourd'hui.<\/p>

Lama Jigm\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9, avec la communaut\u00e9 de Dhagpo, souhaite vous adresser ses plus sinc\u00e8res condol\u00e9ances.<\/p>

Lama Ole \u00e9tait, et reste toujours, une source d'inspiration pour nous tous, pratiquants du Dharma, de bien des fa\u00e7ons : un exemple de confiance in\u00e9branlable dans les qualit\u00e9s de l'esprit ; un exemple de confiance profonde et de d\u00e9votion envers ses ma\u00eetres ; un exemple de compassion sans limites et de d\u00e9vouement sans peur \u00e0 partager le Dharma du Bouddha avec tous ceux qui y aspirent ; un exemple dans la mani\u00e8re de prendre soin de ses \u00e9tudiants.<\/p>

Lama Ole est venu \u00e0 Dhagpo Kagyu Ling d\u00e8s le tout d\u00e9but, il y a 50 ans. Il a rencontr\u00e9 lama Jigm\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 1974, au monast\u00e8re de Rumtek, si\u00e8ge en exil du XVIe<\/sup> Gyalwa Karmapa, Rangjung Rigp\u00e9 Dorj\u00e9. Ni l'un ni l'autre n'aurait pu imaginer alors qu\u2019une amiti\u00e9 de toute une vie na\u00eetrait de leur rencontre, touchant les vies de milliers de personnes \u00e0 travers le monde et leur permettant d\u2019\u0153uvrer ensemble pour rendre le Dharma accessible.<\/p>

Aujourd'hui, nous avons perdu l'un des derniers t\u00e9moins directs de la sagesse et de la compassion du XVIe<\/sup> Gyalwa Karmapa. Pourtant, la chaleur, le courage et la joie que lama Ole a apport\u00e9s \u00e0 tant de personnes continueront de vivre en nous et de guider nos pas sur le chemin. Puissions-nous honorer sa pr\u00e9cieuse m\u00e9moire en perp\u00e9tuant la compassion et le d\u00e9vouement qu'il a si g\u00e9n\u00e9reusement partag\u00e9s avec nous tous.<\/p>

Selon le souhait de lama Jigm\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9, la communaut\u00e9 de Dhagpo pratiquera le rituel d'Amitabha pendant sept semaines en son honneur et \u00e0 sa m\u00e9moire.
