Rinpoche, who had not visited Dhagpo Kagyu Ling since 2013, taught on the <em>Samadhi Raja Sutra<\/em>, which he described as one of the most important <strong>sutras on meditation<\/strong> taught by the Buddha. Throughout his teaching, Rinpoche repeatedly emphasized the purpose of Dharma practice, namely transformation and realization.<\/p>\n<p>By summarizing <strong>key points from ten chapters<\/strong> of the sutra and illustrating them with numerous anecdotes, Phakchok Rinpoche offered practical guidance for bringing about this transformation, both during meditation sessions and in our daily lives. The starting point is to cultivate equanimity, and then to bring into meditation whatever it is within ourselves that we wish to transform. Through this process, we can reconnect with our <strong>Buddha nature<\/strong> and progress toward realization, while cultivating loving-kindness and compassion. Rinpoche is also the author of a book on the <em>Samadhi Raja Sutra<\/em>, entitled In the <em>Footsteps of Bodhisattvas: Buddhist Teachings on the Essence of Meditation<\/em> (Shambhala Publications, 2020).<\/p>\n<p>During all his teachings, Phakchok Rinpoche placed a gao\u2014a small portable reliquary\u2014before him, containing r<strong>elics of the master Detchen Chogyur Lingpa<\/strong> (1829\u20131870), the tert\u00f6n who founded the lineage of transmission of which he is the holder, and with which he then blessed all the participants.<\/p>\n<p>Dhagpo Kagyu Ling was Phakchok Rinpoche\u2019s only destination in France. Rinpoch\u00e9, qui n\u2019\u00e9tait pas venu \u00e0 Dhagpo Kagyu Ling depuis 2013, a enseign\u00e9 sur le <em>Samadhi Raja Sutra<\/em>, qu\u2019il a d\u00e9crit comme l\u2019un des<strong> soutras les plus importants<\/strong> sur la m\u00e9ditation \u00e9nonc\u00e9s par le Bouddha. Tout au long de ses explications, Phakchok Rinpoch\u00e9 est revenu sur la raison d\u2019\u00eatre de la pratique du Dharma, notamment la transformation et la r\u00e9alisation.<\/p><p>En r\u00e9sumant les points cl\u00e9s d\u2019une dizaine de chapitres du soutra et en illustrant ses propos par de multiples anecdotes, il a conf\u00e9r\u00e9 des <strong>instructions pratiques<\/strong> permettant de mener \u00e0 bien cette transformation pendant les sessions de m\u00e9ditation et dans notre vie quotidienne. Le point de d\u00e9part est de <strong>cultiver l\u2019\u00e9quanimit\u00e9<\/strong>, puis de ramener dans la m\u00e9ditation ce que l\u2019on souhaite transformer en soi. Par ce processus associ\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019amour bienveillant et \u00e0 la compassion, nous pourrons nous reconnecter \u00e0 notre <strong>nature de bouddha<\/strong> et progresser vers la r\u00e9alisation.
