Each of us has obtained a human existence. Its purpose is to enter the doorway of the Dharma, and for this it is necessary for our minds to turn toward the Dharma. In order for our minds to turn toward the Dharma, it is necessary to know the qualities of the three jewels and to develop convinced trust in them. This trust will not appear so long as we do not keep death and impermanence in mind. This is why we must begin by familiarizing ourselves with the impermanent nature of all things. The reminder of impermanence is born from understanding that it is difficult to find a human existence endowed with freedoms and wealths. The four common preliminary practices are the roots of practice.<\/em><\/p>\n

The Torch of Certainty<\/em> is an essential commentary of the Kagyu lineage that presents the foundation practices of mahamudra: the common ones (precious human existence, impermanence, actions\u2014causes and effects\u2014and the defective nature of the cycle of existence) and the uncommon ones (refuge and the development of enlightened mind, the practice of Vajrasattva, the mandala offering and the guru yoga). These practices enable the mind to turn away from samsara and prepare for the practice of Vajrayana.<\/p>\n

THE 4th JAMGON KONGTRUL RINPOCHE<\/span><\/p>\n

Early Life and Recognition
<\/strong>Birth and Lineage
The 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, born on December 17, 1995, in Nepal, is the son of the 2nd Beru Khyentse Rinpoche, a revered master and lineage holder of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Born as foretold, his arrival was prophesied by the late Chobgye Trichen at the Great Manjushri\u2019s Temple.<\/p>\n

Recognition and Naming Ceremony
In 1996, the young Jamgon Rinpoche met the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje, who bestowed upon him the name Karma Mingyur Dragpa Senge Thinle Kunkhyab Pal Sangpo, confirming his recognition.<\/p>\n

The 14th Dalai Lama conducted the hair-cutting ceremony a year later. Under the guidance of Beru Khyentse Rinpoche, the 14th Dalai Lama reaffirmed Jamgon Kongtrul as the reincarnation in 2000.<\/p>\n

Education<\/strong>
Rinpoche\u2019s early education included the Tibetan language and foundational practices of the Karma Kamtsang lineage.
During his teenage years, he studied at the Sakya Institute, known for its rigorous discipline and comprehensive curriculum.
Rinpoche received the three sets of complete vows: self-liberation, Mahayana and Vajrayana vows.
He delved into the study of significant Buddhist philosophies, achieving notable results in Madhyamika and Bodhicaryavatara.
Rinpoche received transmissions and empowerments from eminent lineage masters, including the Chenrezig initiation from Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje, Hevajra from His Holiness Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche, and many other transmissions from different lineages.<\/p>\n

Three-Year Retreat and Current Activities<\/strong>
In the period from 2018 to 2022, Rinpoche completed a traditional three-year retreat in Pharping.
As a lineage holder, he now divides his time between personal retreat and teaching activities.
In 2017, Rinpoche embarked on his first European tour, bestowing teachings and empowerments upon thousands of students in various European countries, such as France, Germany, Hungary and Poland.<\/p>\n

European Tour and Global Outreach<\/strong>
Together with his father, Beru Khyentse Rinpoche, they lead the KhyenKong (Khyentse-Kongtrul) centers in Singapore, Budapest (Hungary) and Warsaw (Poland). Rinpoche has also expanded his activities online, offering more opportunities for students worldwide to attend teachings and receive transmissions from this highly realized master.<\/p>\n

Chacun de nous a obtenu une existence humaine. Sa finalit\u00e9 est de franchir la porte du Dharma et pour cela, il est n\u00e9cessaire que notre esprit se tourne vers le Dharma. <\/strong>Naissance et ascendance
Le IV\u1d49 Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoch\u00e9, n\u00e9 le 17 d\u00e9cembre 1995 au N\u00e9pal, est le fils du second Beru Khyents\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9, un v\u00e9n\u00e9rable ma\u00eetre d\u00e9tenteur de la lign\u00e9e karma kagy\u00fc du bouddhisme tib\u00e9tain. Il est n\u00e9 conform\u00e9ment \u00e0 ce qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 annonc\u00e9 par la pr\u00e9diction de feu Chobgy\u00e9 Trichen au grand temple de Manjushri.<\/p>

Reconnaissance et nomination
En 1996, le jeune Jamgon Rinpoch\u00e9 a rencontr\u00e9 Thay\u00e9 Dorj\u00e9, Sa Saintet\u00e9 le XVII\u1d49 Gyalwa Karmapa, qui lui a conf\u00e9r\u00e9 le nom de Karma Mingyur Drakpa Seng\u00e9 Trinl\u00e9 Kunkhyap Pal Zangpo, et a confirm\u00e9 sa reconnaissance.<\/p>

\u00c9ducation<\/strong>
Dans son jeune \u00e2ge, Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9duqu\u00e9, entre autres, \u00e0 la langue tib\u00e9taine et aux pratiques fondamentales de la lign\u00e9e karma kamtsang.
<\/span>Pendant son adolescence, il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019Institut Sakya, connu pour sa discipline rigoureuse et son cursus complet.
Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a re\u00e7u les trois s\u00e9ries de v\u0153ux complets : les v\u0153ux de lib\u00e9ration individuelle, les v\u0153ux de bodhisattva et les v\u0153ux du vajrayana.
Il s\u2019est plong\u00e9 dans l\u2019\u00e9tude des philosophies bouddhistes majeures et a obtenu des r\u00e9sultats remarquables en ce qui concerne le madhyamika et le Bodhicharyavatara<\/em>.
Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a re\u00e7u des transmissions et des initiations par d\u2019\u00e9minents ma\u00eetres de la lign\u00e9e, notamment l\u2019initiation de Chenrezik par Thay\u00e9 Dorj\u00e9, Sa Saintet\u00e9 le XVII\u1d49 Gyalwa Karmapa, l\u2019initiation de Hevajra par Sa Saintet\u00e9 Kyapg\u00f6n Gongma Trichen Rinpoch\u00e9 et de nombreuses autres transmissions de diff\u00e9rentes lign\u00e9es.<\/p>

Retraite de trois ans et activit\u00e9s actuelles<\/strong>
Entre 2018 et 2022, Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a effectu\u00e9 une retraite traditionnelle de trois ans \u00e0 Pharping.
En tant que d\u00e9tenteur de la lign\u00e9e, il partage d\u00e9sormais son temps entre retraites personnelles et activit\u00e9s d\u2019enseignement.
En 2017, Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a entam\u00e9 sa premi\u00e8re tourn\u00e9e europ\u00e9enne, dispensant des enseignements et des initiations \u00e0 des milliers d\u2019\u00e9tudiants dans divers pays europ\u00e9ens, tels que la France, l\u2019Allemagne, la Hongrie et la Pologne.<\/p>

Avec son p\u00e8re Beru Khyents\u00e9 Rinpoch\u00e9, il dirige les centres KhyenKong (Khyents\u00e9-Kongtrul) de Singapour, de Budapest (Hongrie) et de Varsovie (Pologne). Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoch\u00e9 a \u00e9galement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 ses activit\u00e9s en ligne, ce qui offre ainsi aux \u00e9tudiants du monde entier davantage d\u2019opportunit\u00e9s d\u2019assister aux enseignements et de recevoir les transmissions de ce ma\u00eetre hautement r\u00e9alis\u00e9.<\/p>
