Jamgoeun Kongtrul Rinpoché
Twenty-years-old, Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche, the fourth of his title, is the son of Beru Khyentse Rinpoche. The Kongtruls have always been amongst the regents of the karmapas, assuring the transmission of the lineage. Recognized by the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, the current Jamgön Kongtrul has received teachings and empowerments from many Kagyü and Nyingma masters. Even as his education continues, he extends his activity for the benefit of all.
Over the course of five days, Kongtrul Rinpoche will transmit teachings and empowerments. As he has taught, “Time passes each day without our realizing it; if we turn our mind towards beneficial thoughts, each day becomes an experience of realization.” Such is the sense of the teaching he will give during his stay at Dhagpo. In order to connect our practice with its proper potential, Rinpoche will explain in detail the four thoughts that turn the mind towards enlightenment: impermanence, karma, suffering, and precious human existence. Through contemplation of these instructions, the spiritual path takes on its true meaning.
