Lama Purtse arrived at Dhagpo in the late 1970s, sent by the 16th Karmapa to accompany Gendun Rinpoche. His devotion, his enthusiasm for meditation, and especially his simplicity inspired the thousands of people who met him. He left us in 2016, displaying all the signs of a great meditator.
