IMPORTANT MESSAGE *
Dear Dharma Practitioners,
In this first month of the Year of the Fire Horse, we continue with the eighth year of the Chenrezig cycle, a progressive study and meditation curriculum established by Lama Jigme Rinpoche. As Rinpoche often reminds us, this continuity allows us to deepen our practice, to advance along the path and to obtain results.
Following the cremation of His Eminence Mipham Rinpoche next February 10 at KIBI in New Delhi, Jigme Rinpoche, in his capacity as General Secretary of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje, will extend his stay in order to visit the different sites of the Karma Kagyu lineage that he takes care of in India and Nepal. Visiting these centres in Asia also provides the occasion to continue exchanges with the different qualified teachers based there, so that we in Europe may benefit from their knowledge.
Therefore, despite his physical absence from Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, Lama Jigme Rinpoche wishes to maintain the Chenrezig curriculum and retreat this February, because it is above all a matter of establishing a profound meditative practice. Furthermore, in these troubled times as we witness eminent masters dissolving their physical presence, practicing the Buddha Dharma together is also a source of merit accumulation.
Jigme Rinpoche will intervene remotely at the beginning of the retreat in order to give instructions on the practice to be performed together.
Detailed Program of the Retreat:
- Wednesday February 25: Lama Jigme Rinpoche will speak remotely to all practitioners following the course. His talk will be streamed online.
- Thursday 26 and Friday 27 February, morning: sessions devoted to intensive Chenrezig practice, streamed online.
- Friday February 27 afternoon, Saturday February 28 and Sunday March 1 mornings, only on site: streaming of a teaching given by the Gyalwa Karmapa at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling.
*NOTE: in order to respect Gyalwa Karmapa’s wish not to broadcast his teaching online, these sessions will only be accessible in person at the DKL Institute. - In the afternoon, repetition of the Abhidharma Kosha, continuing on from previous retreats. Streamed on line.
We hope that many of you will be present so that together, we may put Jigme Rinpoche’s teachings on the study and meditation of Chenrezig into practice. In this way we will be able to accumulate merit and practice with gratitude for the conditions that we enjoy at Dhagpo Kagyu Ling.
You will find the full adjusted program attached.
Thank you for your understanding.

Jigme Rinpoche guides this study and meditation curriculum laid out by Shamar Rinpoche for the sixth year.
This curriculum is for all those who wish to deepen their practice and will allow them to progressively acquire the necessary foundations for training in Chenrezig meditation and, one day, actualizing it.
The cycle takes place over the course of three intensive annual retreats. It is made up of themes to learn and meditations to apply. Between courses, participants are asked to train in applying the instructions they have received. The content of each meeting depends on the evolution of the participants’ practice.

Teacher(s)
Lama Jigme Rinpoche guides the dynamic of each course. Students trained by Khenpo Chödrak Rinpoche offer support concerning the philosophical aspects.
