Presenting him with a basket of offerings, the Dhagpo community expressed its joy and gratitude to Rinpoche upon his return after three months in India and Nepal. Rinpoche had spent more time than usual in India to attend the ceremonies following the parinirvana of Mipham Rinpoche, and also visited the lineage sites under his care in both countries.
It was an opportunity to share news and to receive his precious advice. Rinpoche again emphasized the importance of understanding the meaning of the teachings, and of connecting study with practice.
He encouraged students of the daily internal curriculum to continue their efforts in learning the Dharma, both in terms of study and practice, reminding them that understanding Karmapa’s words depends directly on the knowledge they have acquired.
Rinpoche also underlined the importance for practitioners to learn the rituals and their preparation.
He then generously answered students’ questions on practice and its application in daily life.
