Many Dharma friends have asked how to support the families and communities affected by the floods in Nepal. Upon the advice of Lama Jigme Rinpoche, a joint relief effort is underway to which you may donate from Europe.
As the Gyalwa Karmapa counseled,
I encourage all those who are able to offer material support to do so through reliable relief organisations. Whether or not we are able to contribute materially, our prayers and aspirations can bring benefit.
NEPAL FLOOD RELIEF 2026 — UPDATE #1
JOINT STATEMENT
5 September 2026
Sharminub Monastery, Karmapa Shamarnag Association, and Shree Karma Raja Mahavihar have come together to support families and communities affected by the floods in Rasuwa and surrounding regions.
This joint relief effort was initiated following the advice of Kyabje Jigme Rinpoche, General Secretary to His Holiness Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has donated and supported this effort. Our team has been procuring and preparing relief supplies, with distribution to affected communities beginning today. We will share updates and photos as the work progresses.
We hope to reach and support as many affected families and communities as possible.
