The Kagyu Monlams is one of the most important events for Buddhist practitioners of the Karma Kagyü school. During a full week, they gather to recite wishing prayers for the happiness of all.
This 23rd edition of the Kagyu Monlams will be held in Bodh Gaya, India, where Shakyamuni Buddha realized enlightenment. Thaye Dorje, His Holiness the 17th Gyala Karmapa, will lead the aspiration prayers beneath the bodhi tree, accompanied by great practitioners of the lineage.
The Kagyu Monlams are an opportunity for people from around the world to come together to recite prayers emanating from the profound wisdom of the buddhas and bodhisattvas. The power of these aspirations is exponentially multiplied by the gathering of thousands of practitioners who unify their wishes for the wellbeing and spiritual development of all.
For the sixth consecutive year, we can join our prayers with those of Karmapa and the monastic sangha from the great temple at Dhagpo Kundreul Ling or online.
