Dhagpo Kagyu ling
Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19
Saraha, a great practitioner of Tantric Buddhism, taught in an unconventional way, through spontaneous songs. His adamantine songs express Saraha’s view on the nature of mind.
Lara Braitstein is the author of The Adamantine Songs: Study, Translation, and Critical Tibetan Edition (Rabsel Editions, 2018), a study of the Mahamudra songs composed by Saraha in the 9th century.
As a disciple of the 14th Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche, he encouraged her in his research into Saraha.
She is a professor at McGill University (Montreal), where she teaches Indian and Tibetan Buddhism.
In this podcast, Lara Braitstein shares with us what deeply moves her about this yogi who never did anything by the books and invites us to discover a teaching that is astonishingly fresh and relevant to our times.
