From May 14 to 17, 2026, throughout the Clarity and Compassion retreat, Lama Jigme Rinpoche gave precious instructions to develop our potential for wisdom and to live our lives in accordance with the Buddha’s teachings.

For compassion is the quality of our mind and clarity its potential. To reveal them, we must observe and understand, time and time again, how our mind works in daily life. Rinpoche encourages his students to observe how the sequence of our sensations, afflictive obscurations and actions create the causes of suffering. By cultivating the habit of bodhicitta, our perceptions will gradually change.

How? By observing the unfolding of this process through the practice of meditation and generosity, and by referring to the teachings when we encounter adverse conditions. In such a way, our mind will become happier, more equanimous, and more focused on the well-being of others.

In addition, every afternoon, the Institute’s students repeated the teaching given by Khenpo Chödrak on dependent origination, based on Mipham Rinpoche’s treatise, Entry to the State of a Pandita. The retreat days were also punctuated by meditative practices.
